Fees

Visa Application Processing Fee:

Each visa applicant must pay this fee except for certain diplomatic or official visa classes and exchange visitor (J visa) applicants participating in a program sponsored by the U.S. Federal Government.  This fee is nonrefundable and should be paid in Taiwan currency at any branch of the Taiwan post office.  Applicants should pay the fee before applying for a visa.  The postal receipt is valid for one year.  Please bring the postal receipt when coming to AIT for an interview.  In order to assist us with our record keeping, we ask that each applicant present his/her own receipt(s) when applying for a visa.  The original receipt will be collected at the time of application.  You may keep a copy of it for your own records.  If a certificate of payment is needed, please come to the Information Window with the courier receipt or approved visa.  This fee covers the cost of processing your application and is non-refundable regardless of whether you are issued a visa or not.  If you have been refused a visa and wish to reapply, you must pay a new processing fee and submit a new application form.
