Am I required to register online with the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) while I am staying in Taiwan?

You are strongly encouraged to register at https://travelregistration.state.gov   whenever you are traveling outside the U.S.  In the event of an emergency, if you have registered with AIT we will be able to communicate with you or with a designated contact.
