Transit Visas: If you will be transiting the United States, you might need a C-1 visa. You should meet the same requirements as applicants for Business or Tourist visas. You should also provide documentation establishing the ability to enter a country other than the United States following the transit through the United States. The American Institute in Taiwan sometimes issues a Business/Tourist visa (B-1/B-2) for applicants transiting the United States.
