Nearly 27 percent of all Taiwan students in the United States studied at the undergraduate level. More than 23 percent of Taiwan students participated in Optional Practical Training (OPT) programs, an increase of 7.7 percent that ranks Taiwan as the fourth largest place of origin for OPT. Nearly 4 percent of all Taiwan students enrolled in non-degree programs, a significant increase of more than 38 percent from the previous year.
