AREND ZWARTJES ASSUMES DUTIES AS AIT’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICER
Arend Zwartjes is the Public Affairs Officer at the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) in Taipei, Taiwan. He has worked for the U.S. State Department since 2003 and previously served in overseas posts in China, Barbados, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Prior to government service, he worked in publishing, as well as at various museums and art galleries in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. He is passionate about freedom of speech and the press, enjoys contemporary art, and is an avid soccer fan.
