Bipartisan U.S. Congressional Delegation Concludes Visit to Taiwan
Representative Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), Representative Scott Franklin (R-FL), Representative Kaiali’i Kahele (D-HI), Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC), Representative Andy Barr (R-KY), Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA), Representative Claudia Tenney (R-NY), and Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) visited Taiwan from September 7-9, 2022, as part of a larger visit to the Indo-Pacific region. While in Taiwan, the delegation met with President Tsai Ing-wen, Foreign Minister Joseph Wu, National Security Council Secretary-General Wellington Koo, and members of the Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee from the Legislative Yuan. In all of these meetings, the delegation had an opportunity to exchange views with Taiwan counterparts on a wide range of issues of importance to both the United States and Taiwan.
