Global Market Access and Products Technology Seminar for Information Technology Products
PR0857E | Date: 2008-09-15
The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Commercial Section is working with UL Taiwan to organize a seminar focusing on Global Market Access and Products Technology.
The rapid development of European markets is creating a wealth of new business opportunities, and Taiwan consumer electronics products manufacturers are keen to compete for these opportunities. With the trend of increasingly short product life cycles, accelerating the product research and development process and minimizing the time needed for product testing and certification have become the main challenges to accessing the European, American, and other international markets.
Compared to relatively unified safety standards in North America, requirements for European countries differ widely. The only way to overcome this cumbersome European standards process, which has created a high market-entry barrier, is to simplify the process through the Certification Body (CB) scheme. Because the majority of Taiwan's information technology and battery products are made for export and are marketed through global networks, UL's two-day seminar will focus on the procedures and requirements for product certification and the CB scheme in the major markets of Europe, Asia, and America. This program is a must for Taiwan firms that are looking for expanding their presence at the global markets.
AIT and UL Taiwan cordially invite Taiwan firms to attend the seminar. The date and venue of the seminar are provided below:
- Date: September 23-24, 2008
- Venue: UL Taiwan Office (3F, #260 Da-Yeh Rd., Peitou, Taipei)
