AIT General Affairs Section Chief Assumes Office
Eunice S. Reddick has assumed her new duties as Chief of the General Affairs Section (GAS) at the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT). As a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State, she served most recently as Deputy Director of the Office of International Development Assistance in the Bureau of International Organization Affairs (1996-1997). From 1994-1996, she was Deputy Director of the Office for Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam Affairs in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. Since joining the State Department in 1980, she has served tours in Beijing (1991-1993) and Harare, Zimbabwe (1981-1983), and the Bureaus of African Affairs and Refugee Programs in Washington, DC. From 1988-1989, she was a Senior Watch Officer in the State Department Operations Center.
Ms. Reddick was a Diplomatic Associate at Georgetown University's Institute for the Study of Diplomacy from 1993 to1994. She received a Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University (1975) and a BA from New York University (1973). She studied Chinese at the Foreign Service Institute (1989-1990) and at the AIT Chinese Language and Area Studies School in Taipei (1990-1991, 1997-1998).
Ms. Reddick grew up in New York City. She is married to Marc Wall, currently Chief of the Economic Section at AIT. They have two children, ages eight and thirteen, attending the Taipei American School.
