Expedited Visa in Support of Haiti Relief Efforts

AIT will provide expedited visa processing for members of charitable and government organizations transiting the United States to Haiti for purposes of supporting relief efforts in the aftermath of the January 12th earthquake.   Organizations wishing to use this service, please call the Non-Immigrant Visa Information Unit at 2162-2400 between the hours of 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-15:00 or email a request to .  Please state that you are requesting expedited visa processing for the “Haiti Rescue Mission”, and you will be directed to our coordinator.  All applicants must be affiliated with an accredited charity or relief organization.

Visas issued to members of charitable organizations for this purpose will be free of charge and valid for only 2 years.   However, they can only be used for travel to the United States in conjunction with relief efforts in Haiti.   Travel to United States for other purposes, i.e. tourism, cannot be done on this visa.  Applicants may chose to pay the standard visa application fees if they wish to apply for standard 5-year validity tourist visas.
