The online registration period for the DV-2021 Program begins on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4), and concludes on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Standard Time (EST) (GMT-5). If you are interested in entering the DV lottery make sure to apply early to avoid any system delays. Entries can only be submitted electronically. No late entries or paper entries will be accepted. - The DV Program allows only one entry by or for each person during each registration period. Individuals who submit more than one entry during the registration period will be disqualified.
- Applicants must submit a recent photo taken within the last six months that is compliant with specifications published in the DV-2021 Instructions. DV entry photographs must meet the same standards as visa photos. Your entry will be disqualified and your visa application refused if the entry photographs for you and your family members do not fully meet these specifications or have been manipulated in any way.

- NEW For DV-2021: The principal entrant must provide a passport number, country of issuance, and expiration date for his/her valid, unexpired international travel passport. This requirement applies to the principal entrant only, not to dependents.
