U.S. Congressional Delegation Concludes Visit to Taiwan

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX), Chair, House Foreign Affairs Committee led a delegation that visited Taiwan from April 6-8, 2023 as part of a larger visit to the Indo-Pacific region.  Other members of the delegation included Rep. Young Kim (R-CA), Rep. Ami Bera (D-CA), Rep. French Hill (R-AR), Rep. Michael Lawler (R-NY), Rep. Nathaniel Moran (R-TX), Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA), and Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-PA).  While in Taiwan, the delegation met with President Tsai Ing-wen, Vice President William Lai, Foreign Minister Joseph Wu, and Legislative Speaker You Si-kun.  In all of these meetings, the delegation had an opportunity to exchange views with Taiwan counterparts on a wide range of issues of importance to both the United States and Taiwan.
