U.S. Congressional Delegation Concludes Visit to Taiwan
Senator Todd Young (R-IN) visited Taiwan from January 16-18, 2023 as part of a larger visit to the Indo-Pacific region. While in Taiwan, the delegation met with President Tsai Ing-wen, Foreign Minister Joseph Wu, National Security Council Secretary-General Wellington Koo, Ministry of Economic Affairs Deputy Minister C.C. Chen, KMT Chairman Eric Chu, and private sector representatives. In all of these meetings, the delegation had an opportunity to exchange views with Taiwan counterparts on a wide range of issues of importance to both the United States and Taiwan.
