Location: Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Pingtung County, Penghu County, Tainan City, Taitung County, Hualien County, Yunlin County, Kaohsiung City
Event: Typhoon Doksuri is currently south of Taiwan. Although Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau (CWB) does not expect Typhoon Doksuri to make direct landfall in Taiwan, the typhoon still poses risks and potential damage from both high winds and torrential downpours in some areas. Expect heavy rainfall, high winds, dangerous storm tides, and possible flooding to occur.
Due to Typhoon Doksuri, the AIT Kaohsiung office will be closed on July 27, 2023. AIT Taipei office will remain open.

- Monitor the local news for updates.
- Seek secure shelter.
- Visit the Joint Typhoon Warning Center Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) (navy.mil) and Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau (CWB) for updated typhoon tracking information.
